Definition – What does Day Trading mean?

Day trading is a style of forex trading where all of a trader’s positions are opened and closed on the same trading day. Traders following a day trading strategy are referred to as day traders.

ForexTerms explains Day Trading

Day traders seek to profit from short-term fluctuations and trends that develop in a currency during the trading day. Day trading often depends heavily on charting and technical analysis to identify patterns in a particular currency pair. The day trader can then take up positions based on those patterns and his own trading strategy.
